Well, That Escalated Quickly
Started the day strong—had my to-do list, my coffee, and a can-do attitude. Then… one phone call. Just one. And suddenly, my day became a full-time job in problem-solving for everyone except me. Did I accomplish anything I planned? Nope! But hey, at least I can cross “help other people with their problems” off someone else’s list.
One Hard Thing a Week—That Counts, Right?
Last week, I did something huge—I emailed my church to let them know I wouldn’t be attending anymore. Bold move, right? As expected, I haven’t heard a peep. Maybe they haven’t read it, maybe they’re forming a search party. Who knows? Either way, I did the thing. I originally aimed for one hard thing a day, but let’s be real—that’s exhausting. So now, it’s one hard thing a week. Progress is progress, right?
Oops, I Did It Again
Just when I thought I was finally putting myself first, life said, “Hold my coffee.” A friend of mine—who’s more like a daughter—just lost a very important person in her life. Naturally, I checked in on her. Turns out, this VIP also paid all her bills, and now she’s left without any income. And what did I do? Oh, I immediately volunteered to help, despite the minor detail that she lives in another state.
So, here I am—once again, in the running for People-Pleaser of the Year. Will I ever break the cycle? Stay tuned. Maybe tomorrow I’ll actually do something for myself… unless, of course, someone else needs something first. 😅

Progress not perfection, right?
